2025 edition

Responsible AI Observatory

Impact AI, the think & do tank for responsible AI, today unveils, in partnership with KPMG in France and BNP Paribas, the new edition of its Responsible AI Observatory, conducted by Viavoice and the GCF foresight center on a representative sample of private-sector employees in France. The aim of this Observatory is to analyze how these employees perceive the deployment of AI within their companies, the opportunities and limitations of this technology, their reactions to the challenge of responsible AI, and what its implementation would entail for their daily tasks.

2023 edition

Responsible AI Observatory

Is AI reactivating the collective imaginaries of fascination and anxiety about the future that it periodically gives rise to? The launch of the first version of ChatGPT last November 30th, the public stances taken by American and European business leaders, and an international media frenzy all lend credence to this scenario. Yet this latest installment of the Viavoice – GCF Barometer for Impact AI reveals a very different tone: three perceived cycles of deployment emerge, giving rise to adoption, questioning, and hope. The barometer highlights a better understanding, grasp, and use of AI, alongside trust levels that have fallen by 7 points in 5 years.

2020 edition

Responsible AI Observatory

The think and do tank Impact AI, supported by IFOP, has published the results of its study on the awareness and image of artificial intelligence (AI) among the French public.

The French are aware of the pivotal role AI plays in economic life and largely trust it, yet say they are poorly informed about its possibilities.

Raising public awareness of the concrete applications of artificial intelligence is the priority for the Impact AI program in 2021.

2019 edition

Responsible AI Observatory

According to an IFOP survey conducted on behalf of the #ImpactAI collective ( “Awareness and Image of Artificial Intelligence Among the French”), a majority of French people have heard of artificial intelligence (AI). They often hold an opinion on the subject, but without necessarily knowing precisely what it entails.
