We work with our partners, the public and private sectors, civil society, academia and associations to create the conditions for human-centered AI so that it can realize its potential while meeting the expectations of all citizens.

Based on our conviction that the issue is collective and systemic, we have chosen to work together, orienting our mission towards action and concrete solutions. We must act now to anticipate the economic and societal impact of the AI of tomorrow.

Impact AI wants to share open tools and support the implementation of projects promoting the use of responsible AI, based on principles that instill confidence and allow users to maintain control. In order to guarantee an ethical and trustworthy IA, the collective believes that we need: frameworks, research, training and support for projects that go in this direction.

What do our members think?

We are committed, at Orange, for a responsible use of artificial intelligence. It is a powerful tool to improve our processes and to propose new services, in a sustainable way. We work constantly to make sense of the technologies and innovations we develop. By joining Impact AI, we are strengthening our commitment to the AI ecosystem to make this technology available for all.

Mari-Noëlle Jégo-Laveissière, Executive Innovation Director, Marketing and Technologies Orange

The goal at the highest level of the state is to make France a major player in AI and the report of Cédric Villani is a good start to achieve the big goal. Our country has many strengths to build upon, including the quality of its science education and its ability to train some of the brightest AI experts. It is everyone’s responsibility to support this ambition, and our participation in this collective initiative led by Microsoft, our historical partner, reflects our commitment. It is also a great opportunity in addition to the other initiatives aiming to develop the AI skills of our employees, our customers and technology partners, and students. In particular through our Accenture Strategic Business Analytics Chair at ESSEC and our academies, Accenture has helped develop the AI skills of over a thousand people in France in 2017.

Christian Nibourel, President of Accenture in France and Benelux

By partnering with the collective “Impact AI” alongside Microsoft, Capgemini will contribute to the deployment of artificial intelligence in France. We will support in particular the actions of training from the beginning to advanced knowledge in the field of the artificial intelligence, in order to discover and develop new talents essential to the turn the promises of the AI into operational reality.
